PERSONAL DATA

When you book various services, process payments, or provide information before, during, or after your stay at Banff Aspen Lodge, personal data may be collected.  BAL may also receive personal information via our guests’ involvement in customer surveys, request or complaint communication, or via our third-party partners such as tour operators, travel agencies and reservation platforms.

BAL may collect and use information about customers solely for the following purposes:  for guest feedback and satisfaction surveys; to provide the services as requested; to fulfil a contract; to manage your online account; to contact you regarding our services; to process payment for the services requested; for research and service experience improvements.  From time to time, we may collect information about you and / or your travel group, including the following:

  • Contact details (last name, first name, address, telephone number, email)

  • Personal information (such as, date of birth, nationality)

  • Information relating to your children (first name, date of birth, age)

  • Your credit card number (for transaction and reservation purposes)

  • Information contained on a form of identification (such as ID card, passport or driver licence)

  • Your arrival and departure dates

  • Your preferences and interests (for example, room type selected and preferred choices, such as smoking or non-smoking room, etc.)

  • Technical and location data you generate as a result of using our website and software applications

 

BAL may share your data with a number of authorized persons within the company in order to effectively deliver our services to the highest quality and efficiency; the following groups may access your data for these purposes: hotel staff, including our Front of House and managerial teams; sales & marketing employees; IT specialists; commercial partners.

The only circumstances under which personal information may be disclosed to third parties is for the fulfillment of any purposes identified above, or as required by law. Where personal information is disclosed to third parties for the fulfillment of any purposes identified above, BAL will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the third party has appropriate security procedures in place for the protection of the personal information being transferred.

BAL shall not sell, lease, or provide information about members to other parties.
