Our goal at The Banff Aspen Lodge is to continually strive to improve our customer service, room cleanliness and maintenance in order to better meet the needs of our clients.
Regular staff meetings, intervention programs, courses and safety drills along with staff incentives, will ensure staff are knowledgeable, efficient and ensure targets are set and achieved within specified times allocated.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Report for duty on time (10 minutes before shift starts), in a clean & pressed pair of black pants, black shoes and collared shirt, and having a tidy appearance. No visible tattoos, no jewlery except one small pair of earrings for ladies
- To give the best service and assistance to all hotel guests and visitors.
- Assist in maintaining company revenues by using supplies and food only as instructed by your department head.
- Make guests welcome by exhibiting and maintaining a positive, friendly and courteous attitude at all times.
- Be familiar with all accommodations and facilities of the Hotel.
- Prepare the breakfast room for opening by having the guest tables and buffet table supplied with the necessary food and utensils.
- Prepare coffee and ensure juice supplies are adequate.
- Greet guests, request and receive their breakfast coupons.
- Offer drinks and tell guests about the buffet.
- Clear, clean and restock tables throughout the morning.
- Help organize dirty dishes for the dishwasher.
- Replenish buffet table as needed.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, consistent with hotel policy.
- Make department manager aware of any complaints or disturbances.
- Pass on to the next day's staff any relevant information.
- After closing clear and clean all tables, buffet and serveries.
- Prepare coffee machines for next day by cleaning machine as instructed and clean juice dispensers.
- Have preserves ready for next day.
- Help complete closing duties as outlined on the attached list.
- Count coupons and complete time sheet.
- Indicate on day's menu sheet or on board if any supplies are needed.
- Know and understand all hotel policies, including Health & Safety Policy, Environmental, and Privacy Act. .
- Understand and know your part in all hotel programs, emergency plans and practice safe work practices.
- Any other associated duties as required including training new staff when necessary.
- Shifts could be changed according to business and employees needs. Shifts vary.
