To ensure that all guests receive a comfortable, relaxed stay in facilities that are clean, properly functioning and safe.
Vision Statement
Our goal at The Banff Aspen Lodge is to continually strive to improve our customer service, room cleanliness and maintenance in order to better meet the needs of our clients.
Regular staff meetings, intervention programs, courses and safety drills along with staff incentives, will ensure staff are knowledgeable, efficient and ensure targets are set and achieved within specified times allocated.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Report on time with a well groomed and clean appearance.
- Black pants are needed. Kitchen whites will be provided.
- Make guest and fellow staff members welcome by exhibiting and maintaining a positive , friendly and courteous attitude.
- To know the Heath & Safety Policy and Emergency Plan of the restaurant and hotel.
- To know proper procedures for handling and storage of food.
- To understand the Health & Safety Program along with practicing safe work habits.
- To open kitchen @ 6:00am in the winter and 5:00 am in the summer.

- Light Baking duties to be completed accordingly to menus.
- Preparation of fruit for fruit salads.
- Maintaining buffet – refilling and ensuring the buffet is sanitized, clean and tidy.
- Dishwashing all restaurant dishes and ensuring the dish area is spotless daily.
- Empty garbages daily.
- Receiving food orders.
- Keep walk in fridge tidy and organized (first in first out).

Wage & Condition of Employment
- Starting wage $10.00 per hour
- Hours per week 30-40, subject business of hotel.
- Three month review if performance outstanding and Best of Banff program has been completed with certificate provided an increase $1.00 per hour
- Must provide a criminal record check form from the R.C.M.P. prior to starting. The Banff Aspen Lodge will reimburse (receipt must be submitted) after 3 months of employment.
- Two weeks notice is required to terminate employment and commitment date of 9 months is required to be able to provide a
positive reference for the future.
- Potential of $1200 upon completion of 1 year full-time employment based on the following requirements:
$500 based on attendance and punctuality / $250 based on job performance / $250 based on attitude & work ethic. / $200 based on hotel revenue.
