Vision Statement
Our goal at The Banff Aspen Lodge is to continually strive to improve our customer service, room cleanliness and maintenance in order to better meet the needs of our clients.
Regular staff meetings, intervention programs, courses and safety drills along with staff incentives, will ensure staff are knowledgeable, efficient and ensure targets are set and achieved within specified times allocated.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Report on duty on time and in uniform
- Make guests feel welcome by exhibiting and maintaining a positive, friendly and courteous attitude at all times
- To be familiar with all accommodations and facilities
- To know the Health and Safety Policy and Emergency Plan of the hotel
- To understand the Health and Safety Program along with practicing safe work practices
- Daily building checks and monthly building checks
- Hot tub - chemicals and cleaning
- Landscaping - daily watering of lawn and flowers
- Room checks
- Must be available to be on call 3 nights a week - Only on call for regular scheduled work days. Days off not required to be on call if Maintenance Manager available
- Cover maintenance department on Maintenance Manager's days off

- Baggage Handling if required
- Handle guest enquiries and complaints in a professional manner, consistent with hotel policy
- Report any maintenance problems to Maintenance Manager, General Manager or Duty Manager
- Any other associated duties as required
- Must have valid AB Driver's License
- Ensure all environmental policies are followed
- Daily room maintenance and general maintenance of hotel and staff accommodation requires knowledge in basic handling of tools: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical and painting skills
- Liaise with other department as required
- Other duties as required
