To ensure that all guests receive a comfortable, relaxed stay in facilities that are clean, properly functioning and safe.

Our goal at The Banff Aspen Lodge is to continually strive to improve our customer service, room cleanliness and maintenance in order to better meet the needs of our clients.

Regular staff meetings, intervention programs, courses and safety drills along with staff incentives, will ensure staff are knowledgeable, efficient and ensure targets are set and achieved within specified times allocated.

Report on duty on time, in uniform and well groomed as specified in handbook To give the best service and assistance to all hotel guests and visitors Make guests feel welcome by exhibiting and maintaining a positive, friendly, and courteous attitude To be familiar with all accommodations and facilities Handle guest enquiries and complaints in a professional manner, consistent with hotel policy To know the Health and Safety Policy and Emergency Plan of the hotel To understand the Health and Safety Program along with practicing safe work practices Sign in, get key and room assignment from housekeeping office Follow instructions for your daily duties and go to assigned area Ensure cleaning cart has all necessary supplies Check room doors for any "Please make up room signs", do these rooms first. Remember to do stays by 2PM and C/O by 3PM Knock on guest door wait for a response. If no response then knock again and annouce yourself by saying "Housekeeping" Use door stoppers to prop open the inside entry doors. If working on the outside leave the entry door partially open with your cleaning cart out front Clean room as trained keeping walkways clear at all times

Dirty sheets and towels should always be stored in bags Recycle box emptied and put in clear plastic bags Ensure all environmental policies are followed When in a guest room always check and lock patio door, turn off lights and turn heat down when done Report any maintenance to your supervisor Report any no service rooms to your supervisor Breaktimes are to be taken at specified times only Never go home without permission from supervisor Assist with laundry and common areas when required Turn in key and sign out properly Liaise with other department as required Be informed about local attractions and events and how to access additional information Any other associated duties as required
